When You Need Shower Installation or Replacement

Not every shower problem means a full install. But some do. Here is when replacement or new construction makes more sense than another repair.

Cracked or leaking shower pan. Pan cracks let water into the subfloor. Once the pan is compromised, the drain connections usually need to be redone too.
Tub-to-shower conversion. Removing a tub and putting in a walk-in shower means relocating the drain, adjusting supply lines, and framing for a new pan.

It depends on the scope. A like-for-like replacement in the same footprint usually does not. Moving the drain, rerouting supply lines, or adding a shower where there was not one before typically does. We sort out permit needs during the estimate.

We can. The drain has to move, the supply lines need adjusting, and the valve height changes. We handle the entire plumbing side of the conversion. You will need a separate contractor for tile and glass.

It is a pressure-balancing or thermostatic valve that prevents sudden temperature spikes when someone flushes a toilet or runs water elsewhere.
