What’s Included in Tankless Water Heater Installation
Tankless installation is more than swapping equipment. It requires proper planning, correct sizing, and verified utility capacity to deliver reliable performance from day one.
- System sizing based on household demand (GPM, fixtures, usage patterns)
- Fuel evaluation (gas vs electric)
- Gas line or electrical upgrades if required
- Venting and condensate setup (for gas and condensing units)
- Permit handling and code compliance (Clark County & local jurisdictions)
- System testing and walkthrough
We install gas and electric tankless water heaters from leading manufacturers and never guess on sizing.
Most whole-house gas tankless units require 150,000 to 199,000 BTUs of gas input. Many older Las Vegas homes weren’t originally sized for that load, so we verify gas meter capacity and check whether the existing line is 3/4-inch or needs an upgrade to 1-inch pipe. We also test incoming water pressure, since neighborhoods with PSI above 80 combined with Las Vegas hard water can shorten heat exchanger life. For condensing units, we confirm the condensate drain routing and install a neutralizer kit when required. For non-condensing models, we verify stainless steel venting is properly routed and terminated.
