  • Why is my water pressure low?

If you are experiences low water pressure, first verify that your pressure-reducing valve is working. You can do this by calling a local plumber to evaluate your pressure-reducing valve. Another reason you may be experiencing low water pressure is your aerators, found on your plumbing fixtures, may be clogged with sediment. You can simply unscrew the screen at your faucet to empty the sediment out, rinse them clean and put them back.

  • Why is my water bill high?

If your water bill is higher than normal, there is a strong chance that you have a pipe leaking somewhere in your home! If you can’t visibly see any of your pipes leaking then you may have a slab leak, which means your pipes are leaking under ground. If this is the case it is important to call a plumber who is equip with leak detection equipment to accurately detect where the leak is coming from before you start digging up dirt or tearing up concrete!

  • Why does my drain get clogged?

Drains get clogged because of what we put down them. Yes, we are all guilty of occasionally putting items that probably shouldn’t go down the drain, down the drain! Especially in the kitchen! Avoid putting large food particles or garbage down your sink drain, even if you have a garbage disposal. In the bathroom make sure you have a drain screen to prevent hair, and shampoo and soap residues from backing up your drains.

  • Why doesn’t my garbage disposal work?

If something is stuck in your garbage disposal the disposal will automatically shut down! Use your garbage disposal key found at the bottom of your disposal to dislodge or clear the disposal of any particles that may be causing the blockage. To turn the disposal back on you will need to hit the reset button found at the bottom of the garbage disposal.
